Cuc Phuong | Wildlife Encounter & Village Cycling Tour
Embark on a journey into the heart of nature at Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and oldest national park, located about 120 km southwest of Hanoi. Established in 1962, this vast rainforest is home to rich biodiversity and centuries-old trees, offering a unique chance to explore Vietnam’s natural heritage.
Begin your adventure at the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre (EPRC), where rare species such as delacour’s langurs, lorises, and gibbons are protected and rehabilitated. Watch them swing through enclosures and learn about efforts to save these endangered primates from extinction.
Afterward, hop on a bicycle for a ride through Muong ethnic villages nestled at the park’s edge, where you’ll pass by stilt houses, see local crafts, and take in the serene countryside surrounded by limestone peaks and dense jungle.
Depending on the season, visitors can witness magical natural spectacles: the firefly season from April to early May, when the forest lights up like a fairytale, or the butterfly season in late spring, where thousands of colorful butterflies fill the air.
This tour offers a perfect blend of wildlife education, cultural immersion, and natural wonder, making it ideal for families, nature lovers, and eco-travelers looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape from the city.
