Perfume Pagoda Day Tour
Located 60 km southwest of Hanoi, the Perfume Pagoda (Chua Huong) is one of Vietnam’s most important spiritual destinations, dating back to the 17th century. This sacred complex features over 20 temples, pagodas, shrines, and mystical caves spread across three main pilgrimage routes: Huong Tich, Tuyet Son, and Long Van.
Your journey begins with a peaceful boat ride along the poetic Yen Stream, where towering limestone mountains and lush greenery surround you. Along the way, you’ll marvel at the majestic landscape dotted with 99 uniquely shaped peaks — including the Elephant Head Mountain, Sticky Rice Tray Mountain, and Rooster Rock — each carrying its own legend and local folklore.
Arriving at Thien Tru Pagoda, also known as “Heaven’s Kitchen”, you’ll have the chance to offer incense, pray for peace, good fortune, and prosperity. Built in the 17th century, this serene pagoda stands as the gateway to the sacred complex, surrounded by tranquil courtyards and ancient stone carvings.
The highlight of the pilgrimage is Huong Tich Cave, often called “Nam Thien De Nhat Dong” (the most beautiful cave under the Southern Sky). Inside, misty incense fills the air, while natural stalactites and statues of Quan The Am Bodhisattva reflect centuries-old beliefs in blessings, fertility, and longevity.
Beyond spiritual rituals, visitors can enjoy light trekking, cable car rides, scenic photography, and moments of quiet reflection amid the serene mountain landscapes — a perfect harmony of nature, legend, and devotion.
