Welcome to Vientiane. Upon arrival at the International Airport, our local guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel for check-in. Your room will be ready from 02:00 PM onward. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace. Meals are at your own expense. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Begin the day discovering Vientiane, the capital of Laos. One of the city’s most beautiful temples is found at Vat Phra Keo. Next door, the old Vat Sisaket, built in 1818, tells stories of the past. Pha That Louang, the most sacred religious site in Laos, showcases the country’s culture and pride. At Patuxay, the city’s famous war memorial, enjoy a view over Vientiane’s skyline from the top.
Travel by train in the afternoon to Vang Vieng. Arrive and check into the hotel, then embark on a peaceful boat trip on the Nam Song River. The trip along towering limestone cliffs and verdant landscapes provides a breathtaking panorama of the Laotian countryside. As the sun begins to set, a private vehicle will return you to your overnight hotel.
Enjoy your meals at leisure. Rest well for the adventures ahead.
Start the day with a scenic drive to Ban Pha Thao, followed by a hike to Tham Hoi (Snail Cave) and Tham Xang (Elephant Cave), both famous for their impressive limestone formations. Along the way, take in the breathtaking views before stopping at Lao Loum village for a glimpse of local life.
In the afternoon, explore Tham Chang Cave, once a refuge for villagers and now a perfect spot to admire panoramic rice field views. Later, unwind at the Blue Lagoon, where cool turquoise waters invite you for a refreshing dip. Return to your hotel and relax. Meals at your leisure.
Board the morning train from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, where the adventure begins with a visit to the Royal Palace, now the National Museum, a window into Lao history and culture.
Next, explore Wat Mai, an 18th-century temple admired for its exquisite carvings. Later, ascend the 328 steps of Mount Phousi, where sweeping city views and a breathtaking sunset await.
As night falls, wander through the lively Hmong Night Market, a perfect place to soak in local culture before heading back to the hotel. Meals at your leisure.
If you’re an early riser, the alms-giving ceremony offers a glimpse into local traditions. At dawn, monks in saffron robes silently walk through the streets, collecting offerings from devoted locals—a, serene and spiritual sight.
Afterwards, return to the hotel for breakfast before heading to a local farm. Farmers will guide you through their daily routines, giving you hands-on experience in traditional rice cultivation. A freshly prepared lunch awaits on a scenic rice paddy terrace.
In the afternoon, travel to the breathtaking Kuang Si Falls. The journey takes you past lush rice fields and charming villages, adding to the scenic experience. Upon arrival, plunge into the turquoise pools for a refreshing swim before making your way back to the hotel for a relaxing evening. Dinner is by your own arrangement.
This morning, a tuk-tuk driver (without a guide) will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the boat jetty. Board a traditional wooden boat for a shared cruise along the Mekong River, departing around 10:00 AM. Enjoy the stunning scenery and observe daily life along the riverbanks. Stop at Ban Xang Hai, a village known for its traditional rice wine, before continuing to the Pak Ou Caves. Nestled at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers, these sacred caves house thousands of ancient Buddha statues, making them a key pilgrimage site, especially during Lao New Year.
On the way back, savor a selection of Lao dishes served onboard while cruising downstream to Luang Prabang. Arriving in the early afternoon, the tuk-tuk driver will transfer you back to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore at your own pace. Dinner is by your own arrangement, and you will spend the night at the hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Depending on your flight, our driver will pick you up & transfer to International Airport for your flight home or next destination. Room is at your disposal until noon only. Meals on your own. See you again!
