Welcome to Phnom Penh, you will be collected by our local guide at the International Airport and transferred to the hotel for check-in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. Balance the day as your leisure. Eat meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant capital, awaits, where the mighty Mekong’s four arms meet, a place known as “Chaktomuk”. This city, steeped in over 600 years of post-Angkor history, invites exploration. The Royal Palace, erected in 1866, and the Silver Pagoda within showcase treasures gifted by kings and nations. Imagine a golden Buddha, diamond-studded, or a tiny crystal Buddha from centuries past.
Moving from splendor to solemnity, we journey to Toul Sleng, once a school, then a chilling Khmer Rouge prison. From there, the Killing Fields bear witness to a dark chapter, where countless lives were lost under the regime. Returning to the hotel, the weight of history lingers, a powerful reminder before a night of reflection.
You’ll start the day with breakfast at the hotel before setting off for Battambang. Along the way, stop at Kampong Chhnang’s bustling harbor, then explore Ondong Rossey, a peaceful village famous for its red pottery. Here, locals craft beautiful ceramics, surrounded by lush rice fields and towering sugar palms.
Upon reaching Battambang, hop on a bamboo train and glide through golden fields. As the sun sets, head to Phnom Sampov to witness millions of bats soaring into the evening sky. Finally, check in at your hotel and unwind. Meals are at your own expense.
Begin your day with a tasty breakfast at the hotel before you check out. A walking tour will introduce you to Battambang’s old streets, where you will see Cambodia’s best-preserved colonial buildings. As you walk along old shops and important cultural sites, your guide will share with you fascinating facts about the city’s history, which was influenced by French, Khmer, and Chinese cultures.
Afterward, a visit to the ancient temple of Ek Phnom offers a glimpse into Cambodia’s spiritual heritage. Then, settle into a private car for a scenic drive to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time to unwind or explore. Meals are in your own arrangement.
Your adventure starts with a road trip to the iconic Angkor Wat, the 12th-century wonder dedicated to Vishnu. Towering spires and fine carvings turn the ancient temple into an absolute wonder. Then move on to the magical Ta Prohm, where nature takes over the ruins as gigantic banyan roots run through crumbling structures.
This afternoon, you will visit the impressive Angkor Thom. Enter the great South Gate and marvel at Bayon Temple, its 54 towers covered in 216 smiling faces. The tour visits the Elephant Terrace, which was used as a royal platform for important ceremonies, and the Leper King Terrace, with its beautiful bas-reliefs.
As night descends, be mesmerized by the Phare Circus. Watch skilled artists combine acrobatics, dance, and music in a show-stopping performance that supports Cambodian children. This memorable experience will be a great way to end your day before heading back to your hotel.
In the morning, you will go to Kampong Phluk, an interesting floating village with houses on stilts. This is a non-touristy place. You will be taken by a locally-owned boat through small canals, and if the water level permits, you will proceed to see Vietnamese families living on the lake.
Next, your tour takes you to the APOPO Visitor Center, just a short drive from Siem Reap. Here, you’ll meet the amazing HeroRATs, African Giant Pouched Rats that are trained to sniff out landmines. Watch these clever creatures at work, learn about their life-saving mission, and even get a chance to hold one.
In the afternoon, visit the Angkor Silk Farm, where artisans carry on Cambodia’s silk-weaving tradition. From the breeding of silkworms to the painstaking process of weaving, every step reveals the beauty of this age-old art. In the evening, enjoy a stunning Apsara Dance performance while savoring tasty Cambodian food before heading back to your hotel for the night.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your flight, our driver will pick you up & transfer you to the International Airport for your flight home or next destination. The room is at your disposal until noon only. Meals on your own.
