Start your trip to visit the Hue Imperial Citadel. Hue was the Vietnamese capital during the Nguyen Dynasty 1802-1945. Many of the buildings have been damaged by war over the years and are now being restored to their former glory.

After that we will head to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. This seven-story pagoda is an icon of Vietnam and as potent a symbol of Hue. It also houses the car that Thich Quang Duc monk drove to Saigon on 11 June 1963 to burn himself to death in a protest against the persecution of Buddhists by the US-backed South Vietnamese government.

In the afternoon, discover the grandeur of Vietnam’s imperial history with visits to two of Hue’s most remarkable royal tombs. Explore the Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, a stunning blend of traditional architecture and tranquil landscapes. Next, explore the ornate beauty of the Mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh, celebrated for its intricate details and unique blend of Eastern and Western styles. These landmarks provide a captivating look into the lives and legacies of Vietnam’s past rulers.

Then transfer back to your hotel for relaxation. You will arrange your own meals. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Next, pop into Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, to see the Jinshang Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess of the sea and the protector of sailors. From there it’s a short walk to Tan Ky House, a 200 year old ancestral house and finally, stroll across the often photographed 17th century covered bridge built by Japanese craftsmen.

Then, embark on a culinary journey in Hoi An with your guide. Begin at a renowned restaurant for exclusive White Rose Dumplings, where you can try making your own. Continue to try other special dishes, which are called Banh Can. Continue onward to sample grilled pork satay and visit the central market on the way.

Finally, the famous Cao Lau noodles or equally popular chicken rice. Wrap up the tour with a local Vietnamese coffee – what a perfect ending for a day!
