After breakfast, the day begins with an exploration of Chiang Mai’s historic center.
Visit Tapae Gate, once part of the ancient city walls, followed by a stop at the Three Kings Monument, which reflects the city’s historical foundations. Continue to Wat Phra Singh, an important temple showcasing classic Lanna architecture, and then to Wat Chedi Luang, a historic structure with impressive restoration details.
In the afternoon, travel up the mountain to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the spiritual symbol of Chiang Mai, where a sacred relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined within the magnificent golden chedi. As you ascend the staircase guarded by naga statues, panoramic views of the city and surrounding countryside gradually unfold.
