Welcome to Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be met by your local driver and guide and transferred to your hotel, where your room is available from 2:00 PM.

In the afternoon, enjoy a half-day city tour to discover the charm of Vietnam’s capital. Begin at the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam), Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070 and one of the most attractive cultural sites in Northern Vietnam. Continue to the atmospheric Train Street in the Hang Ma area of Hoan Kiem, where you can relax over a drink while awaiting the train’s gentle passage.

Your guide will then take you to the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater for a traditional water puppet show, offering a colorful glimpse into Vietnam’s folk culture with expertly wielded puppets performing on the water’s surface.

At 8:00 AM, depart Hanoi for a day excursion to Ninh Binh (about 100 km / 2-hour drive). Begin at the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu, an early capital of Vietnam set among some of the country’s most beautiful limestone formations.

After lunch featuring local Ninh Binh specialties, continue with a relaxing sampan boat ride through the poetic landscapes of the Trang An ecological area, drifting past breathtaking mountain scenery and mystical caves. Afterward, drive back to Hanoi.

Following some free time, transfer to the railway station to board the Chapa Express overnight train to Lao Cai (22:00 – 06:00). Settle into your shared four-berth cabin as the rhythmic sound of the train carries you northward toward the mountains of Sapa.

Arrive early at Lao Cai Station, where your local guide will be waiting. After a hearty breakfast at a nearby restaurant, a 30 km drive takes you to your hotel in Sapa town, with check-in available from 2:00 PM.

Leave your luggage at reception and set out with your guide on a scenic walk south of Sapa to the charming Cat Cat Village. Continue through winding valleys toward Y Linh Ho, where terraced fields spill down the hillsides and a deep gorge reveals a rushing river below. Trek along gentle slopes, passing the terraced hamlets of the Black H’mong community and taking in the crisp mountain air and breathtaking landscapes.

Stop at a local restaurant for lunch before returning to your hotel in the early afternoon. Remaining meals are on your own. Overnight in Sapa.

In the morning, your guide escorts you to the cable car station, where you board the Muong Hoa funicular train from Sapa town to the departure point. From there, enjoy a scenic 20-minute cable car ride offering panoramic views of the mountains and valleys.

Reaching an altitude of around 2,800 meters, you will have time to explore the area, visit spiritual sites and pagodas, and take photos. To reach the summit of Fansipan (3,143 m, the Roof of Indochina), you walk up approximately 600 steps; for those who prefer not to walk, a short mountain train is available on-site (at your own expense). Afterward, return by cable car and funicular train to Sapa town.

Check out of the hotel. Around 2:00 PM, your limousine picks you up for the ride to Hanoi (about 5.5 – 6 hours, with two short breaks). Check in to your hotel in Hanoi and enjoy the evening at leisure. Remaining meals are on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

Today, set off on a scenic journey to Halong Bay, the jewel of North Vietnam, famous for its thousands of dramatic limestone islands. The drive takes you through the peaceful countryside and rice fields of the Red River Delta.

Around noon, arrive at the pier and board your luxury overnight cruise, where the crew welcomes you with a drink and a briefing. After settling into your cabin, enjoy lunch as the ship heads out among jungle-clad mountains and mysterious caves.

In the afternoon, take in panoramic views from the top deck or kayak around the limestone karsts before the ship anchors in a quiet area. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cocktail on the sundeck followed by dinner featuring delicious Vietnamese dishes. Begin your morning with a relaxing Tai Chi session onboard amid the tranquil surroundings of the bay.
